On 17th September, our CEO and Founder Betty Adamou gave a lecture with NewMR.org on an Introduction to Gamification Reseach with a case-study taken directly from a major project we worked on here at RTG with our academic client, IMPRINTS Futures.
In this lecture, Betty introduces a bit about what we do here at Research Through Gaming and debunks 3 of the the most common misconceptions we’ve heard on the use of games and gamification in research. Betty also gives 3 mnemonics to help listeners remember what makes a game a game by describing game mechanics, and the Best Practices for designing a ResearchGame or Gamified Survey.
Betty also gives us some key stats from the case-studies she discusses, and quotations from the respondents themselves while talking about how this methodology of research can be a time and money saver.
If you’re looking for an introduction into this methodology with some interesting resources, this is a great place to start. If you missed the lecture, you can listen to the recording on the NewMR.org website, or listen to it right here:
